The edge of the black walnut wool is milky white, the heartwood is light brown to dark chocolate, the transition marks are not obvious, the contrast is strong, and there is a sense of jumping. The chord cut surface has a beautiful large parabola pattern, and there are curves that other trees do not have. The black-gray strips or strip-like patterns are engraved, and there are thousands of changes. Under the sun, there are gold silks that are glittering and pleasing to the eye.

Beech is an excellent alternative to black walnut. Black walnuts and eucalyptus are all trees belonging to the genus Walnut, but the different regions are different, just like indica and japonica are rice. So how do you distinguish between the two? The secret is texture.

1. The black walnut's annual ring line is accompanied by dense brown holes, and the elm's annual ring line does not have large dense brown holes;

2. Compared with the brown holes of the elm, the distribution is relatively equal; the black walnut has more brown holes, which are distributed according to the annual ring line, and the closer to the annual ring line;

3. Black walnut is darker in color, but the color is not uniform, ranging from light tan to chestnut brown, while the color difference of beech wood sapwood is small;
